80mm fan shroud lid for TeachingTech Pi/Ender 3 electronics box
thingiverse
This remix of the electronics box for the Ender 3 is a game-changer, allowing you to install an 80mm fan that keeps your electronics cool and dust-free. To take it up another notch, I've included an 80mm louver fan cover that prevents dust and dirt from entering the electronics box in the first place. By setting up the fan to blow outwards, you're adding an extra layer of protection against dust invasion. I used a sturdy 20mm thick fan for this project, but be aware that thicker fans might not fit properly and may even foul the top of your Raspberry Pi board. To ensure a smooth installation process, use M3x10 Allen socket screws to secure the fan to the lid from the inside. Just make sure the bolts are facing outwards. The fan cover is designed to be separate and versatile, making it perfect for other 80mm fan projects that require protection against dust and dirt.
