80mm Fan Shroud/Grill Noctua

This custom shroud/grill is designed specifically for an 80mm Noctua fan, with extra space for their unique rubber grommet inserts on the corners. It will work with any standard 80mm x 25mm fan, but was tailored to complement the Noctua's distinctive style. The purpose of this design is to enclose the four sides and one fan opening, rather than mount the fan itself to an object. The inspiration for this project came from a noisy TiVo Roamio OTA box, which needed a quiet fan mounted on top of its cover. A standard beige Noctua fan was chosen for the job, but it required a custom grill and color match to blend in seamlessly with the TiVo's design. After attaching the fan to the cover, this 3D-printed shroud was slipped over the top to protect the fan blades and conceal the beige fan from view.
