Tightening the screw that secures the swivel part to the base plate requires careful attention to a small detail: an inset designed specifically to catch the walls of a 1/4 inch nut, preventing it from spinning out of control. I acknowledge that this design may not be compatible with metric parts, and for that, I offer my apologies to those who rely on them. Nevertheless, any size nut that provides a snug fit should suffice as long as it prevents the nut from spinning.
