I crafted this custom 80mm fan grill specifically for my Solidoodle controller fan, taking care to ensure its protective design would shield the delicate equipment from potential harm. To guarantee optimal performance, I strongly advise incorporating the spacers provided here - a crucial addition that has proven to make all the difference in minimizing noise levels. A simple yet essential consideration: printing four spacers is an absolute necessity, and fortunately, they can be printed with ease without any supports, as long as you carefully orient them on your build plate for optimal results. I acknowledge that my design could have been more user-friendly; however, I had to make some compromises to keep costs down - a decision that led me to glue the spacer posts in place instead of relying on hardware.
