80mm Fan Adapter

80mm Fan Adapter

thingiverse

This replaces the factory supplied 'turbo' fan of 40-50mm with a high-performance 80mm case fan, chosen specifically for its quiet operation and slow speed, which is ideal given that I've already increased airflow by nearly four times. The CoolerMaster fan features rifle bearings to minimize noise levels. It mounts in the factory spot using factory screws. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I used supports (bed only), but ended up not needing them. The part was printed in ABS and is surprisingly sturdy. How I Designed This I designed this project, albeit clumsily, using OnShape as a trial run to explore its capabilities. This software is impressive, especially since it allows me to access my designs on my phone and work on them remotely. You can modify the public version of my design at your convenience.
