80mm Activated-C Air Filter
thingiverse
Create an air filter using a chamber containing activated carbon granules placed in front of a standard 80mm PC fan to eliminate ABS fumes. Optionally, add a cap directing exhaust towards top electronics on a RepRap Mendel. Attach the fan to a power source and use a printed barrier (A, B, mid-section) with the filter. Secure muslin cloth sheets between flanges for filtration, adjusting size as needed. Ream bolt holes for easy assembly without nuts. Clamp cloth sheets around spacer filled with granules, then place filter on Mendel or other 3D printer. Replace carbon when fumes return, and dispose of old material by burning any styrene or butadiene.
