For use with 8020's 1010 aluminum extrusion profile requires tapping the central hole for 1/4-20 hardware. A bit of elbow grease pays off as it's absolutely worth the effort. In this particular project, bolts protrude to allow a sheet of plexiglass to be mounted. It utilizes a sacrificial bridge a game-changing piece of advice I received about 3D printing courtesy of Hackaday. This allows it to be printed right-side up without supports. Originally, it was printed top down but not all my printers could handle the gentle slope of the fillet. The only challenge is clearing away the little strands of filament crisscrossing the hole.
