I acquired a Meanwell SE-450 to energize my projects, and its intermittent loud whirring fan was extremely frustrating. Inspired by various similar solutions on this site to install a silent fan on the LRS, I created this modification. Yes, employing a plastic cover instead of metal may indeed amplify electrical noise. Don't attempt this mod if the PSU is powering sensitive equipment such as medical devices.
