This tool is widely used in farming. Its shape resembles an inverted trapezoid with a curved cutting edge. The socket for the wooden grip is egg-shaped. This type of artifact is often discovered in Dacian fortress areas within the Orăştiei Mountains, numerous examples are found in various archaeological excavations. Findspot: Grădiştea de Munte – Sarmizegetusa Regia, a municipality located in Hunedoara County. Dimensions: Length - 21.2 cm; Width - 8.5 cm. Material: Iron. Manufacturing technique: Hot forging method. Historical period: Between the 1st century AD and the start of the 2nd century AD. Time frame: Late Iron Age (Dacian era). Digitization process: A team from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca used a 3D laser scanner to digitize this artifact. Data source: National Museum of Transylvanian History, located in Cluj-Napaca.
