A magnetic rack for 8-strip DNA isolation, or other magnetic bead applications, that utilizes standard 3" x 1/2" x 1/8" bar magnetics available on Amazon for a few dollars is now within reach. The design of this rack does not require any glue, and magnets can be recovered at a later time if needed. Two settings are included - high and low - which work in tandem with larger 200ul PCR tubes, as well as shorter PCR strips. This versatility also extends to those peculiar PCR tubes featuring connectors that extend downward, ensuring compatibility with three distinct tube designs that were discovered. The high and low settings pay homage to the excellent racks developed by 10X Genomics.
