This is a standard 8" ruler. Two versions are available for this design. The first one features slots where you can insert a mechanical pencil to draw fine lines for marking measurements, allowing you to see the line at that exact mark. Nevertheless, the initial version cannot serve as a straight edge tool. Consequently, the second option is an edged ruler, which closes the gap between measuring marks. You have the flexibility to choose only one of them, depending on what suits your needs best.
