My wife made a critical mistake when she placed our 8-quart Instant Pot directly on the stovetop before one of the glass-top range burners had cooled down. The result was a severely damaged bottom, which forced me to design and print this replacement part. I'm pleased with how it turned out - it fits snugly in place, still allows for proper venting, and protects the pot's delicate underside from further damage. I printed mine using PLA, and it has held up well during use without showing any signs of softening. However, PETG might be an even better choice due to its superior durability. This design should fit other Instant Pot models as well, but I specifically created it for the 8-quart IP-DUO80 V2.
