8 prong Espresso WDT

A remix of aclmech's excellent WDT design to use the installation mechanism from vonbauernfeind's also excellent WDT. This one is designed to fit a specific 0.4mm x 75mm 3d printer needles that have a handle on the blunt side. I used https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000704179904.html or https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001688627876.html. This design uses the handles to keep the needles from falling through the holes. To keep the needles from being pushed up into the handle, you can shim the handle with some cardboard or paper to keep some downward pressure on them.

The tolerances are very tight on my printer, so scaling it up slightly might help if you're having trouble fitting the needles in. If you're a fusion 360 user, you can adjust the diameters of the first (main handle diameter) and second (handle tip diameter) to match your printer.

Edit: added a 6 prong design. It's a little smaller for smaller baskets

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.005mm quality

Infill:

15

Filament:
Hatchbox PLA Black

Category: Kitchen & Dining
