I guess most of you know what this is, but just in case some of you are clueless, go ahead and Google Mario Mushroom to get an idea of what we're working with here. The mushroom I've created is made up of two separate pieces that have been tested to ensure they snap together seamlessly - no awkward fits or gaps to speak of. After experimenting with different variants, I was able to perfect the design. Now, about the printing process: I used a Makerbot Replicator 2 to bring this beauty to life. I printed the mushroom spots using a combination of red and white filament. Specifically, I printed the red part until it reached 66% completion, then switched to white for the final touches. If you want to help a buddy out, be sure to check out my Facebook page at http://facebook.com/free3dcph - every little bit counts! Overall, I'm super proud of how this project turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!
