8-Bit Classic Mario
pinshape
This Retro Mario Figure was Modeled from a Nintendo Wii U Amiibo Mario Figure that I Really Liked, so I Designed a Version that Could be 3D Printed. Check Out My Process for Designing this Thing Here - Make Sure Your Printer Has Decent Accuracy to Print This Model with a Large Number of Tightly Arranged Parts and Just Enough Gap to Interlock Correctly. If Your Side Walls are Wavy or Have a Big "Elephant Foot" Effect, Parts Might Not Fit Properly Due to a Tolerance Stack-up. After Printing, I Assembled the Figure Using Superglue, which Was Necessary for a Secure Bond. A Hand File Came in Handy for Better Fitting Parts, but Wasn't Absolutely Needed for Me. I Plan to Upload a Video Documenting the Assembly Step by Step. My Assembly Process Went Smoothly: First, I Glued Up the Blue Parts and Attached the Feet, Then Assembled the Face Area, Making Sure to Attach Ears Before Assembling the Hair. Next, I Attached the Head to the Torso and Finally Added the Hat and Arms.
