8-bit Bowser's Fireball
thingiverse
My son wanted to print some of the models by bcc20009 to build a shadow box to play with. He picked two other models in addition to the fireball model posted here that you can see in the preview image:\r\n\r\n* Bowser Collectable \r\n* Mario Collectable \r\n\r\nHe wanted Bowser's fireball to go along with them. So, I found an image and transformed it into a character map before turning that into OpenSCAD to render the STL. The other two models were painted as he wanted better color matching, but these were printed using Hatchbox Yellow, Hatchbox White, and AMZ3D Red, all PLA. It almost took longer to swap spools than it did to print.\r\n\r\nI've included the Perl 6 program I wrote. It could be modeled pretty easily to render any similar 2D model, but you will need to install Rakudo Perl 6 to run it.\r\n\r\nP.S. I realized after printing that the fireball was rendered upside down. I fixed the program, SCAD, and STL, but don't tell my son.. Shhhhhh...
