8 Ball (or Eight Ball)
prusaprinters

This is a print you can really get behind!

Note : Alternatively consider printing just the "8 hemisphere" - looks interesting sitting on the desk.

The idea for a sphere made from two hemispheres screwed together was taken from "schraitle", but I made a new design which uses a bit less filament (and of course has another obvious difference). The nominal diameter of this ball is 65mm.

The talon holder shown in the photo is a separate print referenced under re-mixes.

OnShape 3D CAD files :

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/c1fa2522d715c7f8f9691107/w/9ba97d6a8fb4a550253fda91/e/8212dad756e71772724a8fba

Print instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf files provided. Otherwise :

10% rectilinear infill

variable layer height (more layers at the top of the prints)

Note : When removing the "surround" (white parts around the number) be careful about the little pieces in the middle of the eight - they're easy to misplace. Ask me how I know!

Also - the surround pieces are a tight fit, but they will go in with care. Once they are in, you will likely not be able to remove them.
