UPDATE MAY 9th, 2016: I updated the base with lowered battery holders; the battery didn't fit. My second design for an 8-AA battery pack is complete. My Arduino project requires a 12V battery pack to power both the Arduino and LED strip, so I created this custom battery pack box. The AA cells are inserted alternately in series within the pack, with exposed ends that can be used to power the project directly. The pack can be securely mounted via its base, which also features two spaces for wires on either side. The cover of the pack clicks into place seamlessly, covering the entire contents completely. I designed this pack using Autodesk 123D Design and a pre-existing AA-cell template available in my designs. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Tarantula I3 Rafts: Not Required Supports: None Needed Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill Percentage: 10% Notes: Feel free to experiment with these print settings as needed. Post-Printing Instructions: To activate the pack, connect its compartments in series using an electrical wire. Photos will be uploaded soon to demonstrate this process clearly. Design Process: I utilized Autodesk 123D Design to create this design, leveraging a pre-existing AA-cell template available within my designs collection.
