The Velasco was a Spanish ship of the line built in the arsenal of Cartagena, which received its name by order of Charles III on December 11, 1762 to honor the memory of Captain Luis Vicente de Velasco e Isla, who died on July 31, 1762 in the defense of the Morro Castle in Havana. The ship was the result of twelve years of revisions made by Jorge Juan to perfect the so-called English system and this ship would serve as a model for the construction of all subsequent ships of the same size. As was traditional in the ships of the Spanish Navy of the time, her name of invocation was San Luis Obispo. Designed by Saturnalia Studios. Scale 1:650. Optimized for FDM printing and easy painting. Also includes combat sails, masts without sails and game card (Fire and Sails game).
