The Gobnot children sulk as they realize this means work for them, too. In the jungles, the Gobnots reside in small treetop villages to avoid predators. They usually build small huts up in the trees to avoid predators. Gobnots are sneaky and devious and commonly conduct night-long sneak raids into human settlements for food and clothing. No wonder then that night watchmen have been in increasing demand. Lately, however, the Gobnot raids have played out in completely different ways. Gobnots rarely approach human settlements these days, but when they do, they come not to steal but to spread. Charging in wielding massive fungi that trail spores behind them, the Gobnots are usually gone as quickly as they arrived and leave aught behind but air thick with spores that are slow to settle, but quick to infect those with luck bad enough to catch a lung full of the stuff. Humans have gone on guard even more due to panic spread by reports of these acts, building fortifications, and requesting aid from the capital. Will these armed defenders hold out?
