7TP Tank
sketchfab
The 7TP tank, a Polish-built medium tank from World War II, was designed to counter the German Panzer III and IV tanks that were wreaking havoc on European battlefields. Its primary purpose was to provide a formidable armored force for the Polish army to combat enemy armor with equal or greater firepower. Developed by the Bumar-Labedy company in Poland's major industrial city of Warsaw, this tank featured a sleek, angular design that showcased its advanced engineering capabilities. A crew of three, including a commander, gunner, and driver, manned the vehicle, which boasted a top speed of approximately 45 kilometers per hour on paved roads. Armed with a powerful Polish-designed 37mm Bofors-type cannon and two machine guns for anti-infantry defense, the 7TP tank proved to be a force to be reckoned with in battle. However, its armor proved insufficient against German anti-tank guns, which often left it vulnerable to attack. In the end, only about 140 of these tanks were produced before the war ended, and most saw action on the Eastern Front fighting against Soviet forces rather than their intended German targets.
