7mm Whoop
thingiverse
This creation I call the "Red Headed Step Child" appears to have a significant gap in performance, particularly when paired with 40mm propellers - perhaps a deliberate design choice. The frame itself is substantial, weighing roughly 13 grams, according to Cura estimates, and possesses decent strength. However, its primary intention seems to be serving as a backup frame until a more suitable replacement can be ordered. I managed to squeeze around 1.5-2 minutes of flight time from the 205mah batteries. The design accommodates any Whoop FC configurations. The design files have been released for anyone interested in modifying or improving upon this creation. If someone could successfully reduce its weight while enhancing strength, that would be fantastic! The BeeCore and stock PIDs performed admirably during flight testing. I printed the frame using PLA with 6 walls, 2.2mm outer walls, and 0.3mm inner walls. I haven't had a chance to test the lighter version yet but was able to shave off approximately 2-3 grams from it.
