7inch PanelDue screen case for BigBox
thingiverse
I designed this layout because I wanted my 7-inch screen in the middle of my BigBox, where current designs are off-center due to the PanelDue controller board being directly mounted on the backside of the screen. To compensate for this, I created a bracket for the controller board that needs to be screwed into the back of the screen, and used a 40-pin (IDE) cable to connect the two units together. This process requires some soldering skills (as shown in the pictures), since the connector pins are reversed on standard 40-pin connectors. The case fits perfectly into the former LCD mount of the BigBox. One important note: if you lower the bed below 250mm, you'll need to remove the screen to prevent it from colliding with the casing. This design can be printed without support materials. Parts used: * 9 x M3x6 hex socket self-tapping screws * 1 x 20cm 40-pin GPIO ribbon cable * 2 x 40-Pin 2.54mm male single-row header strip
