I first got my 3D printer and found a variation of kitlaan's Camera Lens Cap Holder was perfect for my needs with a 77mm lens cap, combined with the 1" webbing of a Black Rapid strap. That print eventually broke and I realized it had fatigued right where one of the little arms hooks around the strap. So, I sat down to make some improvements: thicker strap arms, a tapered transition from strap arm to body for a cleaner look and better reinforcement, a tapered underside to allow a smoother transition up and over the strap arms, tapered cross brace arms for improved rigidity and reduced stress points, and a thicker profile for greater torsional rigidity.
