771C Battery housing
thingiverse
One of my other hobbies is restoring antique electronics. Recently, I restored a 1928 General Radio Wave meter. It needed a 4.5V Eveready 771C battery. Of course, they have not been made for many years! So, I 3D printed a box of the right dimensions, and I found a photo of one online from which I extracted the artwork. The good news is that a 3 x C battery holder (on Amazon) just fits perfectly into the box. I looped bare copper wires through the pairs of holes in the lid to provide electrical contacts. Unfortunately, I could not find out what the top of the original battery looked like, so I just left that blank. I used white PLA.
