Located on the southern Bering Sea's Alaska Peninsula side, the massive village of Hot Springs boasts stunning views of Port Moller. Multiple excavation teams have worked tirelessly over the past century to uncover its secrets. The main occupations at Hot Springs span two distinct periods: from 2000 BCE-1000 BCE and again from 100 CE-800 CE. These finds offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives of ancient inhabitants. Research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411 has led to an in-depth understanding of the Hot Springs artifacts. H. Maschner, Principal Investigator, played a crucial role in this research. The original digitization work was carried out at the IVL at Idaho State University, while subsequent processing was completed at Global Digital Heritage.
