The massive village of Hot Springs sprawls along the shore of Port Moller on the southern Bering Sea's Alaska Peninsula side, its rich history waiting to be uncovered by archaeologists and researchers over the past century. Two distinct periods of occupation stand out: one dating back from 2000 BCE to 1000 BCE, and another spanning from 100 CE to 800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts were meticulously documented as a direct result of research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the research efforts as Principal Investigator. Initial digitizing work was carried out at Idaho State University's IVL, while subsequent processing took place at Global Digital Heritage.
