Hot Springs Village, Port Moller, Alaska CAT# 77-47-T87 Okada excavations HHT, Level 5A, Hot Springs 1C, dating back to 1300-1000 BCE.\nThe massive village at Hot Springs sits proudly on the shore of Port Moller, its southern Bering Sea shoreline a testament to the region's rich history. For over a century, multiple excavation teams have combed through the site, uncovering the secrets of human habitation from as far back as 2000 BCE-1000 BCE and again from 100 CE to 800 CE.\nThe Hot Springs collection is a direct result of the groundbreaking research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411, spearheaded by H. Maschner, Principal Investigator. The original digitization work was meticulously executed at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing was completed with precision at Global Digital Heritage.
