Bone Arrow Point Base. Hot Springs Village, Port Moller, Alaska CAT# 77-47-T76 Okada excavations HHT, Level 4C (in database; no 4C in Williamson). Hot Springs 1B. 1600-1300 BCE. More likely Level 2 Hot Springs 2B. The massive village of Hot Springs is situated on the shore of Port Moller, facing the southern Bering Sea on the Alaska Peninsula side. Multiple excavation teams have worked at this site over the past century. The primary occupations date back to 2000 BCE-1000 BCE, and a second period occurred from 100 CE to 800 CE. The artifacts from Hot Springs were compiled as part of research funded by grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation. The initial digitizing work was conducted at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing took place at Global Digital Heritage.
