Drill, Missing Tip, Hot Springs Village, Port Moller, Alaska CAT# 77-47-T73 Okada excavations HHT, Level 2. Hot Springs 2B. 500-800 CE The massive village of Hot Springs is situated on the shore of Port Moller, on the southern Bering Sea side of the Alaska Peninsula. Over a century of excavation has been conducted by multiple teams. The main occupations date back to 2000 BCE-1000 BCE and from 100 CE to 800 CE. Excavated artifacts from Hot Springs are presented as a result of research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the project as Principal Investigator. Initial digitizing work was completed at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., with subsequent processing finished at Global Digital Heritage.
