Worked Caribou Antler Tool: Excavated from Hot Springs Village in Port Moller, Alaska, CAT# 77-47-T72. Okada excavations HHT, Level 2. Hot Springs 2B. Dates to 500-800 CE. The massive Hot Springs village sprawls along the shore of Port Moller on the southern Bering Sea's Alaska Peninsula side. Multiple teams have excavated this site over the last century. Primary occupations span from 2000 BCE to 1000 BCE and from 100 CE to 800 CE. Hot Springs artifacts result from extensive research funded by grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. Initial digitizing work took place at Id. St. Univ.'s IVL facility. Further processing was completed at Global Digital Heritage.
