Asymmetric Blade. Port Moller, Alaska, Hot Springs Village CAT# 77-47-T56 Okada Digs HHT, Level 2. Hot Springs 2B. 500-800 CE The massive village of Hot Springs lies on the shore of Port Moller, situated on the southern Bering Sea's Alaska Peninsula side. Excavations have been conducted by multiple teams over the past century. Primary occupations date back to 2000 BCE and extend through 1000 BCE, with a secondary occupation spanning from 100 CE to 800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts are showcased as a direct result of research undertaken under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner leads this investigation as the Principal Investigator. Initial digitization work took place at the IVL on Id. St. Univ.'s campus, with subsequent processing completed at Global Digital Heritage.
