Worked Caribou Antler from Hot Springs Village in Port Moller, Alaska, catalog number 77-47-T48, excavated by Okada during HHT Level 2b research, circa 500-800 CE. The Hot Springs site is a large village situated on the coast of Port Moller, on the Alaska Peninsula side of the southern Bering Sea. Multiple archaeological teams have excavated this site over the past century. The primary occupations date back to between 2000 BCE and 1000 BCE, as well as from 100 CE to 800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts are presented as a result of research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner served as Principal Investigator for this project. Original digitization work was performed at the IVL at Idaho State University. Subsequent processing was completed by Global Digital Heritage.
