Biface, Hafted Knife. CAT# 77-47-T154 Okada excavations HHT, Level 5B. Hot Springs 1B. 1600-1300 BCE. Port Moller's southern Bering Sea shore is home to a massive village, the Hot Springs site. Several excavation teams worked here over the last century. The main periods of occupation span 2000 BCE-1000 BCE and 100 CE-800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts result from research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the project as Principal Investigator. Original digitization took place at the IVL in Idaho State University, with subsequent processing done by Global Digital Heritage.
