Small Notch Stone, Hot Springs Village, Port Moller, Alaska CAT# 77-47-Q60 Okada excavations HHQ, Level 1-4,. House A. Hot Springs 2B, dating back to 500-850 CE, boasts an impressive Fishing Weight. The Hot Springs site is a massive village situated on the shore of Port Moller, where the Alaska Peninsula meets the southern Bering Sea. Over the past century, multiple teams have extensively excavated this remarkable site. The primary occupations span from 2000 BCE to 1000 BCE, and from 100 CE to 800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts are proudly presented as a testament to the thorough research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner spearheaded this project as Principal Investigator. The original digitizing work was carried out at the IVL at Idaho State University, while subsequent processing was completed at Global Digital Heritage.
