Bow Drill Holder, Hot Springs Village, Port Moller, Alaska CAT# 77-47-Q46 Okada excavations HHQ, Level 1-4. Hot Springs 2B 500-850 CE The vast village of Hot Springs sprawls along the shoreline of Port Moller, situated on the southern Bering Sea's Alaska Peninsula side. Extensive excavations have been conducted by multiple teams over a century. Primary occupations date back to 2000 BCE and extend through 1000 BCE, with additional habitation from 100 CE to 800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts are showcased as direct results of research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the Principal Investigator effort. Original digitization took place at the IVL facility on Id. St. Univ.'s campus, with subsequent processing completed at Global Digital Heritage.
