Over a century's worth of excavations have been conducted by various teams, uncovering a rich history that spans two distinct periods: 2000 BCE to 1000 BCE and 100 CE to 800 CE. The Hot Springs artifacts are a testament to the diligent research carried out under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner, Principal Investigator, led this effort with unwavering dedication. The original digitizing work was completed at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing was finished at Global Digital Heritage.
