Human: Hot Springs Village, Alaska, excavated by Okada in Harpoon Base, CAT# 77-47-Q226, HHQ, Level 4-4, Hot Springs 1C, 1300-1000 BCE. The Hot Springs site is a massive village on the southern Bering Sea shoreline of Port Moller, where multiple teams have conducted excavations over the last 100 years. Primary occupations date back to 2000 BCE and 100 CE through 800 CE. Results from research under NSF grants 0137756, 1204020, 1139266, and 1321411 are presented here, led by H. Maschner as Principal Investigator. Original digitization took place at the IVL of Id. St. Univ., with subsequent processing completed at Global Digital Heritage.
