Biface, Hot Springs Village, Port Moller, Alaska CAT# 77-47-Q204 Okada excavations HHQ, Level 4-3 Hot Springs 1C. 1300-1000 BCE The massive village of Hot Springs sprawls along the shoreline of Port Moller, situated on the southern Bering Sea's Alaska Peninsula side. Multiple excavation teams have worked at this site over the past century. The primary occupations date back to 2000 BCE-1000 BCE and 100 CE to 800 CE. Hot Springs artifacts are a direct result of research conducted under grants NSF 0137756, NSF 1204020, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner is the Principal Investigator behind this project. Original digitization was completed at Id. St. Univ.'s IVL, with subsequent processing done at Global Digital Heritage.
