Human: Okada excavations HHQ, Level 4-1 Hot Springs 1C, End Blade, CAT# 77-47-Q140, Port Moller, Alaska, 1300-1000 BCE\nThe massive village of Hot Springs sits on the shore of Port Moller, where the southern Bering Sea meets the Alaska Peninsula. For over a century, multiple teams have excavated this site, uncovering its history through countless digs. The primary occupations date back to 2000 BCE and continued until 100 CE, with a second phase from 800 CE.\nThe artifacts of Hot Springs are a direct result of research funded by NSF grants 0137756, 1204020, 1139266, and 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. Initial digitization took place at Id. St. Univ.'s IVL, while subsequent processing was completed at Global Digital Heritage.
