76mm trinocular microscope arm holder

I created this microscope trinocular holder because buying a proper base + arm for my microscope was not something I wanted to do (I'm still not sure why it's so expensive!). Using some conglomerate wood, I repurposed a 30cm x 25mm metal tube from an old standing fan and crafted this very simple yet effective microscope stand. The microscope in question is a common AmScope compatible model. The diameter of the main ring measures 76mm, while the diameter for the tube is 25mm. There's also a spot for a M6 nut on the side, which I use to adjust the microscope to the pole. This design includes two pieces called "male" and "female," which are used to adjust the pole to the conglomerate wood. The idea behind it is that you create a small home in the wood using a flat drill bit, insert the female part into the tube, and secure it with an M8 nut on top. Next, I screw a 7-8cm M8 x 7-8cm screw from the bottom up through the wood and then simply screw the tube against the wood because of the conical shape of the male part, which applies pressure to the inner walls of the tube, securing it in place. To finish, I rotate the tube until no more rounds can be done, at which point the pole will be firmly secured and ready for adjustment. There are also two spots on the main ring where you can place M2 nuts to adjust the microscope in place. Some people might ask why this design doesn't have knobs to adjust the z distance. My response is that it's a simple model, but it gets the job done! I simply adjust the required space by unscrewing the M6 knob, move the microscope up and down freely, and then use the zoom to adjust the focus. It may not be the best solution, but it works! This design is my first creation. If you find it useful, please send me a thank-you message! No tips or anything else are required – I'd just like to hear from you and have your feedback motivate me to create and share more designs. Happy printing and microscoping!
