The loudest component in the QiDi Tech 1 printer is its tiny 40mm x 10mm fan, situated inside allegedly cooling stepper motor driver modules. When you power up the printer, this fan dominates the sound scene whether printing or idle. After a year of constant noise, I had enough and replaced it with a more powerful yet low-speed blower measuring 75mm x30mm.
