Hello Everyone, I've spoken with numerous visitors to my website: www.737DIYSIM.com. One of the most requested features is a functioning 3D printed light flow panel. This concept has been successfully implemented on smaller-scale prints, and many of my viewers have asked me to try it out on the MCP. Please find attached the necessary files. The main difference that makes this idea work is raising all the text by 0.8mm from the surface. Print the STL files in clear translucent filament using a maximum 0.4mm nozzle, but 0.2mm would be even better. THERE ARE TWO SETS OF STL'S FOR THE SAME THING! The body STL's are the faceplate and baseplate broken down to fit onto a 200mm printer bed. The files called faceplate and baseplate are the whole complete unit for you to split if required. This should allow the items to suit your needs. Once printed, spray the front and sides with dark grey. Allow it to dry. Place the panels with the painted raised text side down onto a sheet of 600 grit sandpaper. Lightly sand to remove the paint from the text. Glue the panels together. Fit the parts and add backlighting. The text should now light up. As stated, this is for people to try at home and post results to see if this is a viable option on all the other Boeing panels. These are far from being perfect solutions but will allow people to create very cheap and easy sim panels at home. For the components, build guide, wiring diagram, and programming please visit: www.737DIYSIM.com under the menu; Getting started Please let me know how you get on. If you would like the actual fusion file, please visit: www.737DIYSIM.com (Downloads) The buttons required are called KD2-22 momentary buttons. These can be found on eBay, Amazon or https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32795957738.html The black base with green LED looks awesome! Karl
