70mm/116/616 Film Container
thingiverse
I designed a 70mm film holder to store partial lengths of exposed film safely and securely. The original model I based my remix on had several flaws that I corrected to ensure optimal performance. I closed the film opening completely, removed an unnecessary center rod, and doubled the thickness of all walls to prevent light leakage. Increasing infill density from 30% would have been too expensive, so doubling wall thickness was a more cost-effective solution. This modification also strengthened the lid ceiling and container floor, and increased the overall height of the container for easier floor adjustment. This holder should be completely light-tight and sturdy enough to store exposed or unexposed films safely. However, it's essential to note that every user's experience may vary, and I assume no responsibility for any issues that may arise with film storage. To ensure safe use, always test the holder for light tightness before storing your valuable film. Trust me, I've learned a hard lesson about the importance of thorough testing!
