For my work I had to change to a new VW Transporter. The 70-mai dashcam was provided with just 1 static sticker to put on your windscreen. Unfortunately the sticker will work only once so I had no new sticker for my new Transporter.

Luckily the Transporter I have, does not have a rear mirror on the windscreen but there is a black ‘dot’ glued to the window where the mirror would be mounted. The plastic cover hides a nice metal piece which can be attracted with a magnet.

So I created a new mount for my dashcam. This mount can be put on the windscreen with magnet power.

Printing advise: use a strong filament (PC-blend or Nylon) with 100% infill for the part which the dashcam is screwed on to because the 3 thin tabs could be too fragile otherwise.

No supports needed.

2 small M3 bolts and 2 M3 nuts needed to screw the parts together.

Magnet specifications:

Total outer diameter: 25mm

Total thickness without M5 thread: 7mm

Magnet diameter: 20mm

Thread: M5

Thread length: 9.7mm

The thread is not needed. I had this magnet laying around. You could also use a 25mm magnet instead or use a smaller magnet (as long as it is strong enough ofcourse) if you like but the middle printed part is created for 25mm by 7mm.
