7" Touchscreen Panel Mount
thingiverse
I designed this thing to flush mount a common 7" IPS touchscreen on a flat panel. The bezel is 28mm wide; the minimum that provides a 1/4" overlay on the panel (to allow for sloppy DIY cuts). There is 0.5mm clearance between the screen glass and bezel to fit a strip of felt to seal the joint. Felt, silicone, or other sealer can also be used under the bezel where it seats on the panel. To build it, print one front and 2 backs, no supports required. Drive four M3 bolts into the hex holes to secure the PCB to the bezel. Then insert the bezel from the outside of a 190x124.5mm hole cut in the panel. Use the back clamps and 4 more M3 bolts to secure the assembly on to the panel. Note the back clamps just serve to restrict outward movement of the bezel; excess tightening of the clamps is not needed and may warp the face of the bezel and/or panel. I uploaded a cut template stl you can print to help with marking the cutout. The outside edge of the template matches the outer edge of the bezel, and the inner edge matches the required hole cutout. Position the template using the outer edge, lock in place with masking tape on the edges, then mark the inside of the template. Remove the template and cut off the line. If it is easier you may cut the corners of the rectangle sharp; the bezel will cover over zero radius corners anyways.
