7 Segment LED Clock
thingiverse
Featured on All3DP! This sleek 7 segment LED clock was designed to be almost entirely 3D printed, with the exception of a few fasteners and electronic components. Thin layers of white PLA achieve light diffusing necessary to light up individual segments through translucent properties. I created this project to get more experience in modeling for 3D printing using Fusion 360 and practice soldering skills while learning ESP8266/Arduino programming. Features: * Hang it from the wall or print optional stand pieces for a desktop configuration. * Syncs with NTP periodically to avoid clock drift. * Automatically detects time zones (uses IP to approximate location, which should work in most scenarios; override with a more accurate location if necessary). * Automatically adjusts daylight saving time - no manual changes needed. * Displays 12-hour or 24-hour format. * Over 16 million custom LED colors possible. * Choose from hour:minute or hour:minute:second display formats. * Enables over-the-air firmware updates.
