Clinton brought awareness and recognition to the heroic defeat of racial segregation in schools that were predominantly White. Clinton made it a worldwide recognition on how far America has come throughout the years. Impact on America: A fight to stop racial segregation opened doors for all African Americans, this act symbolizes the fight for segregation by the nine teens in Little Rock Arkansas. Former president Bill Clinton awarded the nine little rock students Congressional gold medals for their heroic achievement. The nine Little Rock students then donated one of the medals to the exhibit at the Clinton Presidential library. "I chose this President and artifact because..." I have always been inclined to know more about Clinton as he was president around the year I was born and learn more about his presidency besides what the media makes him known for. This artifact stood out to me because it was something that represented America's change for the better and former president Bill Clinton was there for the change. Works Cited Little Rock Nine.
