7" LED Headlight Ring for Bike

Design

I designed this light ring to attach a 7" Harley Davidson LED headlight to my ebike. There are 3 different parts Ring Base, Ring Cover, and Standoffs. The light is inserted into the Ring Base then Ring Cover is screws onto the base until the light is secured. The standoffs are ziptied or wire tied to the handlebar and stem. These most likely are going to need to be adjusted to fit your application. On my bike the bottom standoff needed to be a little longer. Additionally the bottom bolt can be used to adjusted the light up and down.

How to get the light to turn on

You will need some type of power supply. On my bicycle I have a 48v battery to run my ebike. I just needed to drop the voltage to 12V. To accomplish this I added a 12v output DC to DC regulator. Some times these step down regulators leach power when not in use, so I added a toggle switch to turn on and off.

Supplies I used

Hardware

HexCap Screw M8x1.25x40 x3

Square nut M8x1.25

Electronics

7" headlight

DC Step Down to 12V
