7" LCD and Raspberry Pi for Cyclone PCB factory
thingiverse
I wanted to mill PCBs without a PC nearby. So I looked online and found that bCNC, along with other gcode senders, can run on a Raspberry Pi. A quick decision was made to attach a 7" touchscreen and a RPi to the Cyclone. This extension consists of three parts: the case, which houses the LCD and RPI; a bracket to hold the LCD circuitboard in place with 4 screws; and another bracket to hold the RPI. The strip with mounting holes fits underneath the baseplate and is the same height as the feet for the Cyclone I designed earlier. It will always fit nicely underneath it. Print Settings: Printer: K8200, Prusa i3, Ecksbot. Rafts: Doesn't Matter. Supports: Doesn't Matter. Resolution: 0.2 mm layer height. Infill: 22%. Notes: Just print; it fits nicely on a 3D printer with a 20x20x20 build volume. Post-Printing: You'll also need this: Raspberry Pi (3) with wifi USB dongle, powersupply, and 7" touch LCD. Get the "7" inch LCD DIY Monitor for Raspberry Pi HDMI+VGA+2AV Driver Board+ Touch Screen" kit from Ebay. It costs about 40 euro and comes with everything you need, including a touchscreen part and USB converter. The LCD can be powered by the 12V power supply already underneath the Cyclone. A short male/male HDMI cable is also required to connect the RPI to the LCD.
